NOTE: Each Volunteer has individual limits as to what he/she may do. Some might only go to the library or check the phone books and city directories; while others may go to courthouses, city halls or other legwork needed. We do not perform full searches from beginning to end, just specific tasks.
Volunteers are available in most of the 50 United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Your request for help will be sent volunteers in one of the following 6 regions:
Volunteers may ask for reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses only. We do not charge for performing services. If you have any questions or concerns about being charged more than basic expenses, send copies of all relevant e-mail to vsn-request@maelstrom.stjohns .edu so we may evaluate the situation and take appropriate action if necessary.
VSN Request Form |
This information will be forwarded to a group of volunteers in that region of the world where you are asking for help. If you do not receive any volunteer responses within two weeks, please try submitting your information again.
Please keep in mind that these are novice volunteers who can only assist with specific leg-work request such as a trip to the library, courthouse, etc. We do not do complete searches although we will do our best to pass on search information we may have for your area on to you. Volunteers are given basic beginning search tips.
Thanks for your request,
