Request Search Help
NOTE: Each Volunteer has individual limits as to what he/she may do. Some might be able to do direct legwork such as checking library resources and/or going to courthouses or city halls; some are skilled in online searching and/or assessing DNA connections etc. We do not perform full searches from beginning to end, just specific tasks.
Locations covered
Volunteers are available in most of the 50 United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Your request for help will be sent volunteers in one of the following 6 regions:
US Region 1
CT, FL, MA, MI, NJ, PA, SC, WV, DC, GA, MD, NC, NY, Puerto Rico, VA, DE, IN, ME, NH, OH, RI, VT
US Region 2
AL, IL, LA, MS, OK, TX, AR, KS, MN, ND, SD, WI, IA, KY, MO, NE, TN
US Region 3
AZ, MT, WY, CO, NM, ID, UT
US Region 4
AK, NV, CA, OR, HA, WA
Canada
International: All countries outside of North America
Volunteers may ask for reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses only. We do not charge for performing services. If you have any questions or concerns about being charged more than basic expenses, send copies of all relevant emails to so we may evaluate the situation and take appropriate action if necessary.
What To Expect
This information will be forwarded to a group of volunteers in that region of the world where you are asking for help. If you do not receive any volunteer responses within two weeks, please try submitting your information again.
Please keep in mind that the abilities of volunteers vary. Although we do not do complete searches, we will do our best to pass on information that is found.
